Sarah Palin told Barbara Walters that she takes issue with the Obama administration's insistence that Israel halt settlement construction. All the Jews "flocking" to Israel need somewhere to live.
"I disagree with the Obama administration on that," Palin told Walters. "I believe that the Jewish settlements should be allowed to be expanded upon, because that population of Israel is, is going to grow. More and more Jewish people will be flocking to Israel in the days and weeks and months ahead. And I don't think that the Obama administration has any right to tell Israel that the Jewish settlements cannot expand."

Aprooting Jews from their homes.
Twenty-one Jewish communities in Gaza and four in northern Samaria were uprooted and destroyed in the August 2005 Disengagement. The abandoned territory in Gaza was turned over to the Palestinian Authority, which has been using the land for training terrorists and launching rockets at Jewish towns in the western Negev ever since. Many of the thousands of uprooted residents are still trying to put their lives together in terms of housing and employment. One year and a half ago, Sarah Palin was an unknown to me. The more I have heard her speak, the more impressed I have become with her message and her ability to lead this country. At first, I hypothesized that the hyper-hostility of many on the left to her political career was simply jealousy. I still think that is part of it, but now I see other factors in play. I see common sense ideas and values in her policies that would be good for the country. She possesses natural charismatic and leadership qualities that would allow her to move the country in the direction it needs to go. Liberals see Palin's potential to become president and they are very afraid. I am looking forward to reading her book in order to get a better sense of her abilities to be president.
