Operation Cast Lead must continue until Hamas "loses the will to fight," Israel Beiteinu chairman Avigdor Lieberman said Tuesday.

"Israel won't be secure so long as Hamas is in power, and therefore we need to come to a decision that we will break the will of Hamas to keep fighting," he said during a speech at Tel Aviv's Bar-Ilan University.

"We must continue to fight Hamas just like the United States did with the Japanese in World War II," Lieberman added. "Then, too, the occupation of the country was unnecessary."

In 1945, Japan unconditionally surrendered to the US after atomic bomb attacks on Nagasaki and Hiroshima. The A-bomb devastation and its psychological impact obviated the planned ground invasion of mainland Japan and forced Japanese capitulation.

Israel Beiteinu is currently the fifth largest party in Israel, but recent polls suggests that it may become the fourth largest party in the next general election, following the Likud, Kadima and Labor.

Comment by Paul I. Adams 6 minutes ago Delete Comment I share the immense weight of declaring that Hamastan must be brought to the table begging. Capitulation again to toothless promises and worthless committments from the UN is tantamount to inviting-no encouraging a frontal assault from the legal beagles of Arab nations, coalitions, UN Jew haters! However, if in a very brief initial period of a unilateral ceasefire by Israel, rocket smuggling or rocket firing occurs, then a BLISTERING ASSAULT should launched by Israel.
Then it is plausible though not likely, that Israel can prove again that the provocation was clearly Hamas choice and Gaza's problem. I have been harsh on Olmert and he is still found lacking in many ways for many reasons...yet even I am inclined to clear his "legacy" if he stands everyone down and in fact crushes Gazans will to tolerate Hamas! This can be done, is best done NOW, and may that call to glory outweigh every other voice in Olmert's arena at this time. Let the military loose with gloves off. The whole world knows, no matter how deep the denial, that Hamas is a putrid fester on the face of humanity! Its willingness to sacrifice its own innocents for the cold blooded purpose of anti-Israel propaganda is completely indefensible! Garnering political favor from the UN or even the US, much less others, is a pathetic redux of the all the failure of Leb II squared. Get back in the fight and get it done. Three goals are in sight and attainable. Stop the rocket fire, put a force in the corridor to destroy the tunnels, and return Gallit... or just keep dying! Soverign Israel MUST put citizen safety first!

There is a new poll that shows they are moving into 3rd position. Good!

Don't forget to vote to win the elections! Get ready!

After winning: reform the courts, throw out socialists and other liberals from judicial benches, privatize media, etc.

"The solution is political" And what solution might that be?

A Hamas leader once said we are not fighting you so you will make concessions; we are fighting you so you will die.

Hamas and Hezbollah are wholly owned Syrian subsiduaries. Which is in turn a wholly owned Iranian subsiduary. The former president of Iran has said Israel is a one bomb country whereas Israel can only "harm" the Islamic world.

The Islamic world does not accept the existance of the "zionist entity" Because by its very existance it proves Islam false. Islam is supposed to dominate and take over the whole world but each time islamic countries take on Israel they get belted.

There is no diplomatic solution only a military solution.

Lieberman was not proposing to use nuclear weapons but rather to inflict a devastating response on Gaza with conventional means to force Hamas to capitulate.

It won't help one bit. Hamas and Al Qaiada are proxies of Regimes established by Europe. Israel MUST restore the Balfour and take Briton to task - with a warning to the EU & UN Madarassas. This is not a matter of option but an existential decision. Those who call a deathly 3-state as a 2-state are fostering Israel's guaranteed demise: they will not be able to negate a 4-state in Palestine, and it will also be presented as a 2-state. This will also be seen with India. Remember this Nuke bomb on the Jews: "IT WILL BE AN HISTORIC COMPROMISE TO GRANT TWO STATES IN PALESTINE - ONE FOR THE JEWS AND ONE FOR THE ARABS" - A cigar chimping Churchill.
