Peace?

I agree totally with you; My view is the the land of Israel is not negotiable, ie the so called Palestinians have no right to the land, so we have no business negotiating with them, they need to leav…

My daughter lives in China. The first words she learned in Chinese were, "Cost how much?" and "Price too high!" For an Israeli shopping experience, try http://video.voila.fr/video/iLyROoaftMGl.html

This is not like Israeli shopping experience at all. In Israel the salespeople are often gruff and make you wait in line for a long time when there is just one customer ahead of you. The "shopper beware" situation happens more often than in the US.…

Yonatan, if only it was as easy as you think it should be to make peace with the enemy of Israel. Do you know that Israel at one point had offered there technology and agricultural knowledge if the so called Palestinians would live in peace with Isr…

Yonatan, you make some very good points here--especially about removing third parties from the family fights. And I agree with you with two caveats: If you're familiar with domestic violence cases, you know that sometimes law enforcement becomes inv…

About Me:
I am a convert, my great grandparents (mother's father's parents) were Jews. I grew up in a Southern Baptist family, my father is a Baptist Preacher and I was raised to become one as well, after three years of college to become a Preacher I left Christianity completely. I had so many questions and they were all answered with 'have faith' and "satan is putting questions in your head". So I set out on my own to discover my own beliefs and was constantly drawn back to Judaism. So I studied Judaism for five years on my own and decided to convert, shortly after I was asked by my aunt and uncle to help us do our family tree, and while doing that I discovered that my great grandparents were Jewish. So I am returning in a way.

Peace?

Today the President of the United States of America has been awarded the Nobel Peace Prize; they awarded him this honor not for his actions but for his intentions. Intentions are well and good but to award a man for his intentions is asinine. That is just my take on it.

So the torah teaches us to pray for peace, it also teaches us that we must defend ourselves physically and spiritually; preemptively at that. So what are we to do when we are surrounded by peoples that want our destruction, in a… Continue
