"Borat" to host Bart as Simpsons plan Israel trip
Good morning, Cari. Hope that all is well in your Central Time Zone.
On the subject of STEREOTYPES (which, as you and I know all too well, are already rampant amongst discouragingly wide segments of the American public), . . . you might take a look at my comments found under the following link :

My concern is simply this :
Do stereotypes about modern Israel seem to be meandering their way into the mainstream of the North American perspective . . . ? ? ?
Needless to say, modern Israel shall survive Bart Simpson !
But the STEREOTYPES worry me.
Inasmuch as you and I both reside in the United States, I was wondering :
What do YOU think . . . ? ? ?

Moral of Story :
The photographs posted here at ISRAEL INSIDER have many uses, . . . even on web sites where Israelis are targeted for abuse and intimidation by rabid Anti-Semites / Fascists / Neo-Nazis.

Such "safe harbours" matter to me personally. The reasons are myriad.
EXAMPLE :
In the United States, my current residence is in Marietta, COBB COUNTY, Georgia : The same site at which Leo Frank -- a Jewish businessman -- was lynched by an Anti-Semitic mob in 1915.
During that era, it was common for a photographer to be called upon, in advance, to perpetuate the image of the lynch mob, posed by its handiwork.
Hence, postcards -- printed from original photographs of this grisly "event" -- are still sold from beneath the counter (usually, though NOT always beneath) at antique shops and memorabilia dealers in Marietta, COBB COUNTY, Georgia.
Such is the nature of this place, . . . where economic growth and 21st Century prosperity are counter-balanced by moral density.
It is a place about which I could tell you more than you would ever wish to know.
But suffice to say : For me, ISRAEL INSIDER is akin to vitamins for the human spirit.
