Jerusalem is on the butcher block

Promising the Israeli people never to put Jerusalem on the negotiating table, Prime Minister Olmert is apparently is planning to break his promise. See WND's Arron Klien's commentary Warning: Jerusalem on chopping block.

Both the Arabs and the United States picked up on former Prime Minister Ehud Barak 2000 statement that Jerusalem was up for division, and are now pressuring Olmert in this direction. In fact just recently Deputy Prime Minster Olmet appeared on al Jazeera today and said this is true, see the end of the interview.



Historically or within the context of their own scriptures, the Arabs have no legitimate claim on Jerusalem and are using it much the same way a child has a temper tantrum when a sibling has a toy. The malcontent child has no desire for the toy, but instead only wishes to deprive the sibling of it. Please note that in no way do I think Jerusalem is a toy, rather it is one of the stones in the crown G-D has placed upon HIS people. The Arabs have never considered Jerusalem holy enough to develop it into a religious or cultural center and with the exception of the structures upon the Temple Mount during the seventh century, they have consistently neglected Jerusalem.

To divide Jerusalem is to reward the aggression of the 1960's and 1970's and will not deter further attacks. Imagine the precedent that would be set by allowing failed aggression to be rewarded the perpetrators. They will see no political or international fallout in the future. They will increase attacks upon Israel secure in the knowledge that in a few years what ever they lost will be returned to them.

It is time for Shas to keep their promise and quit the coalition with Olmert. It is better to create a vote of no confidence in the Knesset that will end this travesty now, then to rush this through. Sideline this catastrophe now, this is the only hope for Israel and the Jewish people, as three lame duck leaders try to salvage their legacies as they waddle off the stage of history leaving the butcher's bill to Israelis and the Jewish people.

Israelis stop this now, do not put your trust not in Arab good will, or American promises that may not materialize when the administration changes next January, but trust in G-D, HIS promises and HIS love of HIS people.

I can't believe Israel's leaders are being so stupid. Why keep giving away pieces of Israel to the Arabs? Just hand them the whole country already and leave. Otherwise, tell the Arabs they will get not one square millimeter of the land, including Jerusalem.

Hi Bear, here on the eve of the Holy Convocation (rehearsal). In english, the FEAST of Trumpets- Jerusalem is being chopped up by having no current leadership and strong voice Outrage---while here in the United States the (Big o) is making a 500 Billion$$$ Terrorist move for influence of the Iran situation. Sure takes the rehearsal out of rehearsal doesn't it. I will cover myself in the Protection and Mercy of Our G'D ALMIGHTY and wait till this small storm is stilled by the LORD HIMSELF.
