Many American supporters of Israel who voted for Barack Obama now suspect they may have been victims of a bait and switch. Jewish Americans voted overwhelmingly for Mr. Obama over John McCain in part because the Obama campaign went to great lengths to assure these voters that a President Obama would be supportive of Israel. This despite his friendships with rabidly anti-Israel characters like Rev. Jeremiah Wright and historian Rashid Khalidi.

At the suggestion of Mr. Obama's Jewish supporters -- including me -- the candidate visited the beleaguered town of Sderot, which had borne the brunt of thousands of rocket attacks by Hamas. Standing in front of the rocket shells, Mr. Obama declared: "If somebody was sending rockets into my house where my two daughters sleep at night, I'm going to do everything in my power to stop that. And I would expect Israelis to do the same thing." This heartfelt statement sealed the deal for many supporters of Israel.

Now, some of them apparently have voters' remorse. According to Malcolm Hoenlein, executive vice chairman of the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations, "President Obama's strongest supporters among Jewish leaders are deeply troubled by his recent Middle East initiatives, and some are questioning what he really believes." I hear the same thing from rank-and-file supporters of Israel who voted for Mr. Obama.

American Jews were foolish to support obama. Being from Chicago, and seeing the characters he is associated
with ,should have been a warning to my Jewish brothers. Obama is a slick performer, surrounding himself with token sell out Jews like Emanuel and Axelrod, he has lied time and again, just see the news and the on line articles. Its time for
the American Jews to wake up and support a stronger Republican party in 2010 and after that throw out the
clown called obama. The Cairo speech is proof this guy is a muslim panderer and is an isolationist that will hurt Israel, even with his BS talk.

Though many Jews voted for this menace, they still have time to oppose and protest his radical leftist communist regime who seeks to destroy not only the nation of Israel but the Jewish people as a whole. There will be repercussions for anything and everything Judaic regardless of their passivity, complicity, or active opposition hence remaining silent is not an option but going on the offense with Hashem’s veritas is.

I'm surprised Israel has not given up talking itself out of land. Maybe if you give your firstborn sons to Obama. No! Wait Pharoah Obomba. How about a reality check Israel. It's the old American game of gotcha in the corner now I got ya! ploy. It is used everyday here in America by leaders in all walks of life. Cry "uncle"! Give it up! No where to go! Got ya in a corner! No more games! Give me what I want from you, and I will go away! Well, Israel? Obama won't give in, won't give up and will demand cooperation from you. What's your decision? Hurry up! Come on! Spit it out! Give me what I want, NOW! Either you do or the pressure don't end. You know what I don't get from Israel after reading so much about your history, is that your letting all these nations drag you, tell you, demand from you, threaten you and your fighting back is a sad display. Where's the fight in Israel? Because I believe the fight for Jerusalem is about to begin. Either you give in and let them have it and move out or stand and fight. Whose going to win Israel? It is up to you. The world would like you to disappear. You won't so, pushing in the playground is about to end I think, don't you?

Let those Jews (and anyone else) who voted for Obama have voters remorse BIG TIME.

Hard enough for them to start making noise NOW to Dems in Congress and Senate

Long enough for them to remember to NOT vote Democrat in 2010 and 2012 and Obama in 2012.

Dershowitz says, 'The Obama administration consistently says that Iran should not be allowed to develop nuclear weapons. But prior to the current unrest in the Islamic Republic, White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel frightened many supporters of Israel in May by appearing to link American efforts to stop Iran from developing nuclear weapons to Israeli actions with regard to the settlements.

This is a disturbing linkage that should be disavowed by the Obama administration. Opposition to a nuclear Iran -- which would endanger the entire world -- should not be dependent in any way on the issue of settlement expansion.'
Dershowitz is a very smart man but his intuitive skills have consistently been deficient. I believe most of the posters on this site understood that Obama intended all along to pressure Israel into dangerous compromises that increased her vulnerability. His advisors, his associations with Ayres, Wright, and others, his left-wing Democratic positions, all pointed to an anti-Israel bias. Dershowitz should not be surprised, now, that the leopard has spots.
